Our Corporate Responsibility and Community Commitment.

At Peninsula Fire Safety, our commitment extends beyond fire safety and compliance. We take immense pride in being a proactive
member of the North Devon community, consistently supporting local initiatives, fostering relationships, and contributing to positive social impact.

Supporting local and national charities, community projects and sports clubs

Our dedication to making a difference is evident through our support of local projects and national charities. We are proud supporters of The Wave Project, a nationally recognised charity that relies on community fundraising and local volunteers. This incredible organisation works with young people across the Country, providing surf therapy sessions that build confidence, resilience, and well-being.

We are equally proud to support Access For All, a local non-profit organisation committed to making North Devon’s stunning beaches accessible to everyone. Their tireless work has led to the creation of the first adaptive surfing hub in Croyde, enabling people of all abilities to experience the joy of surfing. In addition, they have developed a fully accessible Changing Places hub, featuring shower and toilet facilities designed for individuals with disabilities.

Thanks to Access For All, beach wheelchairs are now available at local beaches, free of charge, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the beauty of our coastline. This initiative has transformed the beachgoing experience for those with mobility challenges, fostering inclusivity and creating unforgettable moments for all.

We nominate two charities a year in which to support, so if you are a local charity then please get in touch and we will gladly add your name and details onto our sponsor list.

We believe in the power of grassroots sports to bring communities together, promote health, and instill values like teamwork, resilience, and perseverance. This is why we proudly support local sports organisations, including Braunton Cricket Club and previously Barnstaple Rugby Club.

These partnerships reflect our commitment to fostering community spirit and providing opportunities for people of all ages to engage in sport. Grassroots sports are vital for nurturing talent, encouraging active lifestyles, and creating connections that strengthen our local community.

Our Operations Director, Jon Limer, exemplifies this ethos. From 2014, Jon volunteered with Barnstaple Rugby Club as a junior section assistant coach, dedicating countless hours to developing young players and supporting their growth both on and off the field. Although his involvement as a volunteer coach is now in the past, his efforts highlight the values we strive to uphold: dedication, community, and a belief in the transformative power of sport.

Our Pledge to North Devon

Our corporate social responsibility is not just a policy—it’s a core value. We remain committed to nurturing relationships within the community and actively seeking opportunities to contribute positively.

By supporting local businesses, engaging in environmental sustainability, and participating in charitable efforts, we aim to enhance the quality of life for everyone in North Devon. Our office operations reflect this dedication, incorporating eco-friendly practices such as a low-carbon air source heat pump system for energy-efficient heating, maintaining a paperless office, and scheduling work to minimise unnecessary travel. These measures demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and protecting the environment.

Choose us not only for our expertise in fire safety and compliance but for our dedication to being a responsible and compassionate community partner.
